The FCI 68695-472HLF is a 72-circuit, 2-row unshrouded male pin header from the BERGSTIK® II series, designed for board-to-board stacking on a standard 0.100" (2.54 mm) pitch. It's a through-hole, right-angle mount part — the pins come out parallel to the board, which suits edge-to-edge mezzanine connections or right-angle card extenders.
The 0.100" pitch and 0.100" row spacing are the classic DIP footprint — the same grid as a legacy 72-pin SIMM socket or a wide DIP package. That means the board layout is standard: two rows of through-holes on 0.100" centers, with the right-angle pins exiting the rear of the connector. The 5 A per-contact rating is fine for 3.3 V or 5 V logic rails, but derate it if the ambient inside the enclosure runs above 85 °C; the UL94 V-0 housing handles the flame rating, not the thermal rise.
