Board-to-Board Header, 28 Positions, 0.100" Pitch
It uses a 0.100" (2.54 mm) pitch on both the mating and row spacing, making it footprint-compatible with standard 0.100" IDC receptacles and BergStik socket strips. Each square pin is rated for 5 A, with a voltage rating of 110 V. The mating contact finish is 100 µ" (2.54 µm) tin, a thick layer that handles moderate mating cycles (typically 50–100 cycles) without exposing the phosphor bronze base metal. The post finish is also tin, which solders cleanly to standard through-hole pads.
Mating and Footprint
This header mates with any standard 0.100" pitch, 28-position dual-row socket strip or IDC receptacle that accepts square 0.025" pins. Common mating halves include BergStik II socket strips (e.g., 68683 series) or industry-standard 0.100" box headers. The unshrouded design means no polarization keying — verify the pin 1 orientation on both halves during board layout. The mating pin length is 0.230" (5.84 mm), and the post length below the insulator is 0.125" (3.18 mm).
