Board stacking — right-angle SMT termination
The 71609-436LF: Right-angle surface-mount termination orients the receptacle parallel to the board, suited for mezzanine stacking where the mating header enters from the side. The 0.230" (5.85mm) insulation height and 0.100" row spacing set the vertical clearance between stacked boards. All 72 positions are loaded; the push-pull fastening type provides no secondary locking, so the mated pair relies on the friction of the tin-plated contacts for retention.
