Mating and Stack Height Fit
The 0.118" (3.00mm) solder post length gives enough through-hole standoff for wave soldering without bottom-side bridging. Compared to the 32-position sibling 71991-316LF, this 48-position version adds 16 circuits in the same dual-row footprint — the extra positions extend the board edge length by about 1.6" (40.6mm) at 0.100" pitch. All positions are loaded, so no blank cavities to work around.
