Board-to-Cable Header for Ribbon-Cable Harnesses
The header includes a keying slot and push-pull fastening, which prevents mis-mating with non-keyed receptacles and provides a tactile lock when fully seated. The pick-and-place feature and Tape & Reel packaging make it suitable for automated SMT assembly lines.
Sizing the 1 A Current Ceiling in Context
For a typical ribbon-cable interface carrying logic-level signals (5–24 V, <100 mA), the margin is substantial.
Mating Half and Footprint Fit
This header mates with Quickie™ series IDC socket connectors that accept 0.100" pitch ribbon cable. The SMD footprint requires a solder-paste stencil aperture matched to the 0.100" pitch and the tin-plated tail dimensions. The pick-and-place feature aids automated assembly, but the 9.27 mm insulation height should be checked against the z-height budget in the enclosure.
