Board-to-Board Header for Standard DIP Footprints
It sits in the BERGSTIK series, a broad family of pin headers built around the 0.100" (2.54mm) pitch — the same spacing as standard DIP IC footprints, which means the board layout matches a familiar grid. The operating temperature range of -65°C to 130°C and UL94 V-0 rated thermoplastic housing make it suitable for industrial equipment, telecom line cards, and instrumentation where the board sits inside an enclosure requiring flame-rated components.
This header mates with any standard 0.100" pitch, 36-position, unshrouded or low-profile receptacle — typically a BERGSTIK female socket strip or a ribbon-cable IDC connector. The 0.305" (7.75mm) mating pin length provides adequate wipe for reliable contact, and the 0.120" (3.05mm) solder post length suits standard PCB thicknesses around 1.6mm. Termination is through-hole solder — the square pins insert into plated through-holes and are wave-soldered or hand-soldered. The phosphor bronze contact material with gold GXT finish resists corrosion at the solder joint and the mating interface. No crimp tooling or special press is required; standard soldering processes apply.
