The FCI 75844-118-36LF is a 36-position, dual-row unshrouded breakaway header from the BERGSTIK® series, on the standard 0.100" (2.54 mm) pitch that matches legacy prototyping grids and production board layouts. It is a board-to-board or cable interconnect, typically used as the male pin header half of a mated pair, soldered into a through-hole PCB. The 30.0 µ" (0.76 µm) gold GXT™ plating on the mating surface gives it a solid mating-cycle life for field-service or repeated disconnect duty, while the UL94 V-0 thermoplastic housing keeps it compliant for equipment inside an enclosure.
The 0.100" pitch and 0.100" row spacing are the classic 0.1-inch grid — any footprint laid out on that grid accepts this header, and it mates with standard 0.100" pitch IDC sockets or crimp receptacles. The 5 A per-contact rating is derated from the contact's temperature rise at 25 °C ambient; in a dense 36-position assembly with all circuits loaded, the total current through the header is limited by the pin-to-pin heating, so keep the aggregate below about 180 A and derate above 25 °C.
