BergStik Breakaway Header, 18 Positions
It uses a 0.100" (2.54mm) mating pitch with an identical 0.100" row spacing, giving a standard 0.100" x 0.100" grid that matches common perfboard and prototype layouts. The header is through-hole soldered, unshrouded, and uses a push-pull fastening — meaning the retention comes entirely from the friction of the mating receptacle contacts, not a latch or shroud wall.
The UL94 V-0 thermoplastic housing means it's rated for flame retardancy inside enclosed equipment.
Unshrouded Design — What It Changes
The pins are exposed, so the mating connector must be aligned carefully by the assembler. This is standard for breakaway headers where you snap the pin strip to length — the trade-off is easy board layout access for probing or wiring, but no polarisation keying. If mis-mate protection matters, a shrouded header from the same BergStik family would be the choice.
