Board-to-Board or Cable Interconnect: BERGSTIK Breakaway Header
It uses a standard 0.100" (2.54 mm) pitch on both rows and between rows, making it footprint-compatible with a wide range of mating receptacles and perf-board layouts. All 16 positions are loaded with square tin-plated phosphor bronze pins, rated for 5 A per contact at 110 V.
The 0.100" (2.54 mm) pitch is the de facto standard for breadboard-compatible headers; it matches the grid of most prototyping boards and legacy PCB layouts. The tin contact finish, at a substantial 150.0 µin (3.81 µm) thickness, provides better wear resistance than standard thin tin finishes, supporting repeated mating cycles in test or programming fixtures.
This unshrouded header mates with any standard 0.100" pitch female socket or IDC receptacle that matches the 16-position, dual-row layout. The through-hole solder termination requires the PCB to have plated through-holes on a 0.100" grid; the post length of 0.135" (3.43 mm) is designed for boards up to about 0.062" thick.
