Gold provides lower contact resistance stability over 500+ cycles and better corrosion resistance. If the application demands frequent board swaps or extended field life, the gold-plated siblings are the correct choice; for cost-sensitive, low-cycle builds, the tin finish of the 76341-405LF is appropriate.
The part is in continuous production at Amphenol ICC (FCI) and is RoHS compliant. Supplied in tube packaging.
The push-pull retention relies on contact friction — no secondary locking feature is present. The through-hole solder posts are 0.114" (2.90 mm) long, suitable for standard PCB thicknesses in the 1.6 mm range.
