Footprint and Board Fit — What the 0.100" Pitch Means
The 40 positions span 20 pins per row, so the PCB footprint requires 20 holes per row at 2.54mm spacing, with a row-to-row spacing of 2.54mm. Compared to the 26-position sibling (77313-118-26LF) or the 16-position (77313-118-16LF), the only difference is the number of positions — all other specs (pitch, plating, current, material, UL94 V-0 rating) are identical. This means the 40-position version is the largest in this subgroup, and the breakaway feature lets you depopulate it for lower-count BOMs without requalifying a new part number.
It is RoHS compliant.
