The 77313-122-14LF: The breakaway design means the pin strip can be snapped to a shorter length if the BOM calls for fewer circuits — a practical option when the same base part covers multiple position counts on the board. Board Fit and Mating Half
This tail length suits standard 1.6mm PCBs — the post protrudes enough for a clean solder fillet on the bottom side without bottoming out in the plated hole. The unshrouded pins are exposed, so the mating connector must provide its own polarization or keying if mis-mate prevention is required. Contact material is phosphor bronze, with tin plating on the solder post (78.7 µ" / 2.00 µm). The tin finish on the tail is compatible with both leaded and lead-free solder processes — no special flux or temperature profile needed.
