Board footprint and current budget
Unshrouded, push-pull interface
Alignment depends on the mating connector's housing and the board's mechanical registration. In high-vibration environments, a secondary retention method (adhesive or board-mount clips) should be considered.
Pinout and mating compatibility
Dual-row, 40 positions all loaded — the pinout is a simple 2×20 grid on 0.100" centers. Row A and Row B are electrically identical; mating receptacles use standard 0.025" square pin contacts. The header mates with any BERGSTIK® receptacle or generic 0.100" pitch IDC socket that accepts a 0.025" square pin. Contact material is phosphor bronze — the spring properties hold contact force over temperature and repeated insertion. The gold mating finish (30.0 µinch) is specified for corrosive environments or high-cycle applications; the GXT™ option is a palladium-nickel alloy with gold flash for extended wear.
