The 77317-112-30LF: Through-hole right-angle mounting orients the pins perpendicular to the PCB edge. This is the natural choice for a mezzanine or daughtercard where the board-to-board axis runs parallel to the main board, saving z-height in a shallow enclosure.
Breakaway Flexibility and Unshrouded Mating
As a breakaway header, the 30-position strip can be snapped to a shorter length if the BOM calls for fewer circuits — the factory loads all positions, but the user breaks the strip at the score line. In a low-vibration bench or rack application this is adequate; for mobile or high-shock environments, consider a shrouded header with a locking ramp.
