Dual-Row 0.100" Pitch Breakaway Header
The push-pull fastening and lack of a shroud mean the connector relies on the mating socket's retention for a secure fit — suitable for low-vibration environments where the board pair is mechanically supported by standoffs.
Tin-Plated Contacts and Current Rating
In a prototype or one-time assembly, that is fine; in a field-service connector that gets disconnected quarterly, the tin surface will freckle and increase contact resistance over time. The UL94 V-0 thermoplastic housing handles the thermal load at 3A per pin in still air, but derating is needed if the ambient exceeds 85°C or if the board has poor airflow.
