In a 62-position fully loaded connector, the total current through the header is 186 A — but that assumes all circuits carry 3 A simultaneously, which raises the internal temperature above the safe limit. Real-world derating applies: at 85°C ambient, the per-contact current drops to roughly 2.2 A per the BergStik derating curve.

Operating Temperature and Environmental Fit
The wide range means the connector can survive thermal cycling in outdoor enclosures without cracking the thermoplastic housing. The UL94 V-0 rating confirms the material self-extinguishes — required for equipment inside enclosures where flame spread must be limited.
