The 78208-305HLF is the 5-position member of Amphenol ICC's Mini-PV™ / Basics+ shrouded header line, a single-row board-to-cable/wire connector with a friction lock that holds the mating housing in place. It carries gold or GXT™ plating on the mating contacts at 50.0µin (1.27µm) thickness, operates from -40°C to 105°C, and the glass-filled PCT housing carries a UL94 V-0 flammability rating.
Locking and keying for vibration resistance
The 2-wall shroud and integrated friction lock resist accidental unmating under vibration — the keying slot on the shroud prevents cross-mating with unkeyed housings in the same series. The 0.100" (2.54mm) pitch matches standard 0.100" ribbon cable and IDC receptacles; the through-hole right-angle orientation places the header parallel to the board edge for cable egress in tight enclosures.
