Board-to-Board Header for Standard 0.100" Grids
The Amphenol 78511-209HLF is a single-row, unshrouded male pin header from the BERGSTIK® II series, with 9 positions on a 0.100" (2.54 mm) pitch. The contacts are phosphor bronze with 15.0 µ" (0.38 µm) gold or GXT™ plating on the mating surface, rated 5 A per circuit. The unshrouded design gives the board layout engineer direct access to the pins for probing or wire-wrapping, but provides no polarization keying — the mating connector must be oriented correctly by the PCB footprint.
The 0.100" pitch is the de facto standard for 2.54 mm grid prototyping and production boards — any board laid out for a 0.100" header accepts this part without a footprint change.
