Fit and Footprint Considerations
The 0.100" pitch matches a standard 0.100" header footprint — a 4-pin, single-row, 0.100" spaced layout on the PCB. The overall contact length is 0.538" (13.67mm), with a mating length of 0.318" (8.08mm) and a post length of 0.120" (3.05mm). That post length is for through-hole soldering; the board hole pattern and solder tail length are fixed by the part, so verify the board thickness and solder wave clearance against the 0.120" post.
This header mates with any standard 0.100" pitch, 4-position female receptacle housing that accepts 0.025" square pins — the BergStik® II system's mating interface is the square pin geometry. For vibration-prone applications, a receptacle with a positive lock or a secondary retention feature should be considered. Termination is through-hole solder to the PCB.
