68-Position BergStik II Unshrouded Header
It uses the standard 0.100" (2.54 mm) pitch on both the pin-to-pin and row spacing, making it a direct fit for legacy 0.100" grid layouts common in backplane and board-to-board interconnect applications. The 30.0 µ" (0.76 µm) gold plating on the mating surface provides corrosion resistance and supports repeated mating cycles better than a tin-plated alternative — relevant for field-service or test-fixture use where connectors see regular engagement.
This is an unshrouded through-hole header with 0.120" (3.05 mm) post length for the solder tail, suitable for standard PCB thicknesses. It mates with any 0.100" pitch dual-row BergStik receptacle or IDC socket that accepts square 0.025" male pins — the mating pin length is 0.190" (4.83 mm), which provides a solid wipe inside the receptacle contact. The overall contact length of 0.410" (10.41 mm) gives enough standoff for the solder joint to be inspected after wave soldering.
