Board-to-Board Header for Prototype and Production Runs
The FCI Electronics 79425-422HLF is a 22-position, dual-row BergStik® II unshrouded header on the standard 0.100" (2.54mm) pitch. The 5A per-contact current rating and 110V voltage rating suit it for general-purpose board-to-board signal interconnect and low-power distribution in prototype boards, test fixtures, and production assemblies where a reliable, no-frills header is needed.
The 5A per-contact rating is conservative for a phosphor bronze contact with 100.0µin tin plating on the mating surface; in practice, derate this when the ambient temperature rises above 25°C or when all 22 positions carry current simultaneously. The 0.190" mating contact length provides enough wipe for reliable connection with standard BergStik receptacles, while the 0.120" post length suits typical 0.062" PCBs.
