The Amphenol 79821-168HLF is a 68-position, dual-row BERGSTIK® II unshrouded header. It sits at the high end of the position count for this series, giving you a dense board-to-board interconnect on a standard 0.100" (2.54mm) pitch with matching 0.100" row spacing.
The 0.100" pitch and row spacing match the standard 0.100" grid, so the footprint is a straight 68-plated-through-hole pattern — two rows of 34, each on 0.100" centers. The 0.430" mating pin length gives enough reach for a standard receptacle, and the 0.200" post length suits a 0.062" board with room for a solder fillet on the back side. The unshrouded profile keeps the overall height low on the board, but watch pin-one orientation during layout — there's no keying shroud to prevent a 180° mis-mate.
This is a through-hole solder-terminated header. The square male pins accept a standard 0.100" pitch female receptacle — any BERGSTIK II or compatible dual-row socket housing with 0.100" pitch and 0.025" square contact cavity. The UL94 V-0 black insulation handles the reflow or wave-solder profile without issue.
