The FCI 87052-128HLF is a 28-position, dual-row unshrouded header in the BERGSTIK® II series, built for board-to-board stacking on the standard 0.100" (2.54mm) pitch. Each row carries 14 male square pins, all positions loaded, with a push-pull fastening interface — no latch, no shroud, just bare pins for a low-profile footprint.
Footprint and board fit
The 0.100" pitch and 0.100" row spacing put this header on a 0.1" grid — the same spacing as breadboard and perfboard layouts, so it drops into a standard prototype board without a custom footprint. Overall contact length runs 0.990" (25.15mm), with the solder tail extending 0.120" (3.05mm) below the insulator — a short post that keeps the through-hole barrel from protruding far past the solder fillet on a standard 1.6mm PCB.
Current and voltage headroom
Rated 5A per contact at 25°C ambient, with a 110V voltage ceiling. The 5A figure is per-pin, not total — a 28-position header carrying full current on every pin would dissipate enough heat to exceed the UL94 V-0 housing's temperature rise limit. In practice, this is a signal-level interconnect: parallel data buses, address lines, or low-power I/O. The 110V rating is the working voltage between adjacent pins at the 0.100" pitch; the unshrouded design doesn't add creepage distance beyond the air gap between pins.
