29-Position BergStik II Unshrouded Header
The Amphenol 87185-129HLF is a 29-position, single-row, unshrouded BergStik® II header on the standard 0.100" (2.54 mm) pitch. The 1.043" (26.49 mm) mating length gives it a tall profile above the board, suited for applications where the header must reach through a stacked assembly or mate with a deep receptacle.
Rated 5 A per contact at 110 V — the 5 A figure is typical for signal-level BergStik headers and supports general-purpose board-to-board signal routing, not bus-level power. The 30.0 µinch (0.76 µm) gold plating on the mating surface provides corrosion resistance and supports repeated mating cycles; this is a step above the thinner flash-gold or tin finishes common on commodity headers, so it holds up better in field-service or low-insertion-force applications.
Mating and Board Layout
The 0.095" (2.41 mm) solder post length is on the shorter side; confirm the PCB hole depth and solder fillet clearance for your board thickness. The 0.100" (2.54 mm) insulation height leaves the pins exposed above the housing, which means the mating receptacle must clear the header body height.
