Board-to-Board Header for Prototype and Production
The Amphenol ICC 87185-130HLF is a 30-position single-row unshrouded male header from the BERGSTIK® II series, on the standard 0.100" (2.54mm) pitch. The 5A per circuit rating at 110V places it at the upper end of signal-level current capacity, capable of handling modest power distribution on a board alongside logic-level signals. The UL94 V-0 black insulation housing provides the flame rating required for equipment inside an enclosure, and the unshrouded design keeps the board footprint narrow — a single row of 30 holes on 0.100" centers, with a 0.095" (2.41mm) solder tail length for the post.
The 0.100" (2.54mm) pitch is the classic breadboard-compatible grid — this header mates with standard 0.1" female socket strips and fits perfboard layouts. The 30 positions in a single row produce a long, narrow board footprint roughly 3.0" (76.2mm) wide; verify board-edge clearance and the width of the mating connector before layout. The 110V voltage rating provides adequate creepage for the 2.54mm pitch in dry environments. Being unshrouded, this header has no mechanical polarization or keying — the mating connector must be visually aligned, and retention relies entirely on the friction or latch of the receptacle.
