BergStik® II 35-Position Unshrouded Header
The FCI 87185-435HLF is a 35-position, single-row, unshrouded male pin header from the BergStik® II series, designed for board-to-board interconnect applications. It uses the standard 0.100" (2.54 mm) pitch, making it a drop-in fit for legacy and current PCB layouts that require a through-hole, solder-terminated header. The square pins are phosphor bronze with tin plating on both the mating and post sides, rated for 5 A per contact at 110 V.
What the Ratings Mean for Your Fit
The 0.100" pitch is the de facto standard for through-hole headers — it dictates the board footprint and the mating receptacle's contact spacing. At 5 A per contact, the current rating is typical for signal-level interconnects; the unshrouded design limits the current-carrying capacity compared to a shrouded header because there is no housing to manage heat rise across the row. The tin plating on both mating and post surfaces is sufficient for occasional mating cycles in a controlled environment; for frequent disconnect or corrosive atmospheres, a gold-plated variant would be the better choice.
