Rib-Cage III board-to-board header
The 87409-115TR is the 30-position member of Amphenol ICC (FCI)'s Rib-Cage™ III board-to-board header line, a shrouded 4-wall SMT design with a 6.42 mm mated stack height. Dual-row contacts on a 1.27 mm pitch carry 1 A per circuit; the mating finish is gold or gold GXT™ with 30.0 µin thickness on the mating side.
Stack height and board spacing
The 6.42 mm mated stack height is fixed by the header's 0.226" (5.74 mm) insulation height and 0.130" (3.30 mm) mating pin length — the board-to-board spacing is set at the design stage and does not vary with position count. The 1.27 mm row spacing matches the contact pitch, so the footprint occupies a 1.27 mm × 1.27 mm grid per pair — routing density is uniform across all Rib-Cage III position counts.
