Contact system and board-stack fit
The 87409-140TRLF is the 80-position member of Amphenol ICC (FCI)'s Rib-Cage™ III board-to-board header line. Mating contacts are gold or GXT™ plated, rated 1 A (DC) per circuit. The shrouded 4-wall housing includes a board guide and pick-and-place feature for automated assembly. Mated stack height is 6.42 mm.
Pitch and footprint decisions
The 1.27 mm pitch and 1.27 mm row spacing set the board footprint — the 80 circuits in two rows route between the pads at this density. The 6.42 mm mated stack height fixes the z-height budget between parallel boards.
