Board-to-Board Header, 16 Circuits
The FCI 87901-416HLF is a 16-circuit, dual-row unshrouded header from the BERGSTIK® II series, designed for board-to-board stacking or wire-to-board applications when mated with a compatible receptacle. The 0.100" (2.54 mm) pitch matches standard DIP spacing, so the board footprint is straightforward and compatible with legacy layouts. All 16 positions are loaded — no depopulation to account for on the BOM line. Rated 5 A per contact at 110 V, with tin-on-tin mating surfaces. The tin plating is cost-effective and adequate for low-cycle, moderate-environment duty — think internal board interconnects in consumer or industrial equipment where the connector is mated once and left alone. The UL94 V-0 rated housing suits equipment inside an enclosure requiring flame-retardant materials.
Termination and Mating
Through-hole solder termination, with a 0.120" (3.05 mm) post length for a standard PCB thickness. The overall contact length of 1.040" (26.42 mm) and a mating length of 0.820" (20.83 mm) give a generous reach for stacking with a receptacle. The push-pull fastening type means no locking latch — the connection relies on the friction of the pin-and-socket interface. Mates with any standard 0.100" pitch dual-row receptacle housing that accepts 0.025" square pins. The unshrouded design means the pins are exposed during mating — handle with care to avoid bending pins during assembly.
