The 30.0 µin (0.76 µm) gold on the mating side is a solid plating grade for moderate mating cycles — think 50 to 100 cycles before the gold wears through. The tin solder tail (not gold) keeps the through-hole joint reliable and avoids the cost of full-gold plating.
