The 87916-427HLF is a 27-position, single-row BergStik® II unshrouded header from Amphenol/FCI. It uses a 0.100" (2.54 mm) pitch — the standard grid that matches legacy perf-board layouts and BergStik receptacle housings.
Tin is fine for moderate mating cycles — the 100.0 µin (2.54 µm) thickness gives decent wear for occasional field service, but if the board sees frequent reconnection cycles, a gold-plated sibling would hold up longer. The 110 V rating and UL94 V-0 housing suit it for equipment inside an enclosure where flame rating is required. Through-hole mounting with a 0.128" (3.25 mm) post length gives a solid solder joint for vibration resistance in industrial cabinets.
