The FCI 87916-432HLF is a BERGSTIK II unshrouded male pin header, 32 positions on a single row at the industry-standard 0.100" (2.54 mm) pitch. It is a board-to-board interconnect — the pins mate with a matching receptacle on the opposing PCB, and the through-hole solder tails anchor the header to the board. Rated 5 A per contact with a 110 V voltage rating, this is a signal-level header for internal board stacking or wire-to-board via a receptacle housing.
Contact Plating and Mating Surface
Both the mating surface and the solder tails are tin-plated — the mating finish is a substantial 100.0 µin (2.54 µm) of tin over phosphor bronze base metal. That thickness gives the contact system good durability for moderate mating cycles in a cost-optimised design. Tin-on-tin contacts are well suited for applications where the connector is mated infrequently or during assembly only, rather than field-service reconnections.

The header is unshrouded with a push-pull fastening type, so there is no locking latch — the retention comes from the friction of the pin-receptacle interface. The overall contact length is 1.058" (26.87 mm), with a mating pin length of 0.830" (21.08 mm) and a solder post length of 0.128" (3.25 mm). The insulation height above the board is 0.100" (2.54 mm), meaning the header sits low on the board. The black UL94 V-0 rated housing meets the flame rating required for equipment inside an enclosure.
