The 901-9985-RFX is rated to 12.4 GHz maximum frequency, which covers the full SMA band for most lab, test, and telecom applications. The stainless-steel sibling 901-9209-ASF extends to 18 GHz, but at a higher cost and with a different body material. For systems operating below 12.4 GHz — common for cellular, Wi-Fi, GPS, and general-purpose RF — the brass-body 901-9985-RFX is the standard choice. The 901-9986-RFX shares the same 12.4 GHz rating and straight jack-to-jack configuration but adds a bulkhead mounting flange with lockwasher and nut for panel-feed applications.
