This kit is dimensioned for RG-174, RG-188, RG-188A, RG-316, LMR-100, and M17/119-RG174 — all 0.100-inch-jacket-class cables with a solid or stranded centre conductor. The centre contact crimps onto the signal wire; the ferrule crimps over the braid and jacket. The PTFE dielectric in the connector body matches the velocity factor of these cables, so the 50 Ohm impedance holds through the transition without a lumped discontinuity. At 6 GHz, a clean crimp matters — a braid fold or an off-centre centre conductor will tilt the VSWR above 1.3:1.

Mating Interface and Mechanical Life

The snap-on fastening engages with a standard MMCX jack — push to mate, pull to release.
