The 0.100" (2.54 mm) pitch matches the legacy DIP footprint — no board layout changes needed if you are replacing a standard 0.100" header. 5 A per contact is a signal-level rating; do not plan to pull bus-level current through a single pin. The 30 µ" gold mating finish provides good corrosion resistance and wear life for repeated mating cycles — a step above thin flash gold, but not as robust as heavy gold for thousands of cycles.
