It uses a standard 0.100" (2.54 mm) pitch and through-hole solder termination, making it a direct fit for prototyping and production boards that need a reliable board-to-board interconnect. The contacts are phosphor bronze with 30.0 µin (0.76 µm) gold or Gold GXT plating on the mating surface, rated for 5 A per circuit at 110 V. The black UL94 V-0 rated insulation stands 0.100" (2.54 mm) off the board, and the unshrouded design keeps the footprint compact for dense layouts.
What the 5 A Rating Means for Your Board
For a single-row, 18-position header, the total current through the connector is limited by the sum of the individual circuit currents and the temperature rise of the housing; the UL94 V-0 rated material handles the heat without flame propagation.
This header mates with any standard 0.100" pitch single-row receptacle housing that accepts 0.025" square pins — common BERGSTIK II or compatible IDC and crimp receptacles. The 0.900" (22.86 mm) mating pin length gives good wipe and contact engagement depth. The through-hole solder tails are 0.225" (5.72 mm) long, designed for standard PCB thicknesses.
