Design Engineering Note: 30-Position Unshrouded Header
The Amphenol 91276-130HLF is a 30-position, single-row, unshrouded male pin header from the BERGSTIK® II series. It uses the industry-standard 0.100" (2.54 mm) pitch, which matches breadboard and prototyping layouts as well as many legacy board designs. Rated 5 A per contact with a 110 V voltage rating, this header is suited for signal-level interconnects and low-power distribution within an enclosure. The 30.0 µ" gold or GXT™ plating on the mating surface provides corrosion resistance and supports repeated mating cycles, making it a fit for field-serviceable assemblies. The UL94 V-0 rated black thermoplastic housing meets the flame-retardancy requirement for equipment inside an enclosure.
What the Ratings Mean for Your Build
The 0.100" pitch sets the board footprint — it is the same spacing as standard DIP ICs, so the header can share a common grid with other through-hole components. The 30 positions loaded all mean every pin position is populated; there are no optional empty spots to manage on the BOM. The 5 A per contact rating is a signal-level current; if your circuit draws more than that per line, you need to parallel contacts or move to a power header. The 30.0 µ" gold plating on the mating side is thick enough for environments where the connector may be mated and unmated multiple times in the field — tin plating would fret under vibration and oxidize over fewer cycles. The unshrouded design means there is no keying or polarization; the mating receptacle must be aligned by the assembler, which is standard for prototyping and low-volume builds where a jig is not justified.
