It mates with a cable receptacle — the 2-wall shroud guides the plug and protects the male pins during blind mating. Rated 3A per contact with a 30 µinch GXT gold mating finish. GXT is a hard gold alloy that extends mating cycle life beyond standard gold flash — in a panel that sees quarterly reconnects, the contact interface outlasts the equipment service interval.
Mating pin length is 0.197" (5.00mm) — this provides enough wipe for the receptacle contact beams to clean the gold surface on insertion. The insulation height of 0.368" (9.35mm) leaves clearance for the friction lock ramp and the cable bend radius exiting the receptacle.
