MCX Jack for Board-Edge RF Launches
The gold-plated brass body and gold-over-beryllium copper center contact deliver 500 mating cycles, with the snap-on fastening providing a positive retention that resists accidental disconnect in field-service or portable equipment.
Board Layout and Termination
This is an end-launch jack — the signal pin and shield legs solder directly to the PCB edge, with the connector body sitting flush to the board edge. The shield termination is solder, and the center contact also terminates via solder. The board-edge launch geometry keeps the signal path short and the impedance transition clean up to 2.6 GHz, provided the PCB trace is designed for 50 Ohm controlled impedance.
Mating and Field Replacement
Mates with any standard MCX plug (male) having a snap-on coupling. The 500-cycle rating means this jack is suited for test points, calibration ports, or any interconnect that sees repeated connect-disconnect cycles in the field.
