Board-to-Board Header for Dense Signal Routing
The 58 positions are all loaded — no skipped pins — so the board layout must accommodate 29 contacts per side. Rated 5 A per circuit at 110 V, with 30.0 µ" (0.76 µm) gold plating on the mating surface. The through-hole solder tails are 0.110" (2.79 mm) long, with an overall contact length of 0.530" (13.46 mm) and a mating pin length of 0.320" (8.13 mm).
In practice, derate current above that temperature — the UL94 V-0 housing material limits the temperature rise. A tin-plated equivalent would wear faster under repeated insertions. The 0.100" pitch and dual-row layout give a board-edge footprint about 2.9 inches long — that's a long row for a single connector. The unshrouded header has no mechanical retention beyond the solder joints; if the mating cable or board exerts side load, the board needs additional mechanical support (standoffs or a board lock on the mating half).
