The mating finish is 100 µ" (2.54 µm) of tin on phosphor bronze — a heavy tin layer that provides good corrosion resistance and a reliable oxide-clearing wipe on first mate. The post finish is tin as well, so the solder joint is tin-on-tin with standard SnPb or SAC solder.

The overall contact length is 0.530" (13.46 mm), with a mating length of 0.320" (8.13 mm) and a post length of 0.110" (2.79 mm).
