SMPM In-Line Adapter for 40 GHz Signal Paths
The Amphenol 925-165A-51S is a straight SMPM to SMPM jack-to-jack adapter, built to pass a 50 Ohm signal path from DC up to 40 GHz. Both ends present an SMPM female socket, so it's a same-series in-line adapter — you use it to extend an SMPM line or to panel-mount a bulkhead feed-through without changing connector families. The body is machined from beryllium copper with a gold finish, and the center contacts are also gold-plated beryllium copper. Fastening is snap-on at both ends — the same push-to-engage, pull-to-disconnect action as a standard SMPM interface.
40 GHz Ceiling vs the 65 GHz Siblings
The 925-165A-51S tops out at 40 GHz, which puts it in the standard SMPM frequency band. The 925-167A-51S and 925-166A-51S are rated to 65 GHz — they use the same SMPM series and the same straight jack-to-jack form factor, but the higher-frequency siblings carry a wider mode-free bandwidth. If your signal stays under 40 GHz, the 925-165A-51S covers the run without paying for the extra headroom. If you need the full 65 GHz capability of the SMPM interface, step up to the 925-167A-51S.
