65 GHz SMPM bullet adapter for millimeter-wave signal paths
The Amphenol 925-167A-51S is a straight SMPM jack-to-jack adapter, female on both ends, built for in-line connections within the same SMPM series. Its headline spec is the 65 GHz frequency ceiling — that puts it in the millimeter-wave band, suited for 5G mmWave test heads, radar module bench setups, and high-speed instrumentation where the signal path needs to stay clean through 65 GHz. The 50 Ohm impedance is standard for RF transmission lines; the adapter preserves that impedance through the transition so you don't get a reflection bump at the interconnect. Body is gold-plated beryllium copper — the gold resists corrosion in lab or field environments, and the beryllium copper gives the snap-on retention fingers the spring memory they need for repeated connect cycles.
Mating cycles: 100 at full spec, 1000 for the contact interface
The datasheet lists two mating-cycle figures: 100 and 1000. The 100-cycle rating applies to the snap-on retention mechanism; the 1000-cycle figure reflects the contact interface alone. The fastening is snap-on on both ends — no threaded coupling, no tool required. That makes it fast to insert and remove in a test setup, but the retention force is lower than a threaded SMPM connector. For a permanent installation or a high-vibration environment, a threaded SMPM adapter would be the better choice.

The PTFE dielectric maintains stable permittivity across that range, which keeps the impedance consistent.
