The FCI 92634-166HLF is a 66-position, dual-row unshrouded header from the BERGSTIK® II series. It uses the standard 0.100" (2.54 mm) pitch on both the pin-to-pin and row spacing, so it drops into any 0.100"-grid plated through-hole pattern — the same grid as breadboards and perfboards. The right-angle through-hole termination orients the mating plane parallel to the board, which is useful for edge-mounted I/O or mezzanine stacking where vertical headroom is tight. With 66 positions loaded, this is a high-density signal interconnect for board-to-board applications that need a lot of parallel lines in a compact footprint.
What the ratings mean for the fit
The 5 A per-contact rating at the 0.100" pitch means this header can carry signal-level currents and moderate power duty, but the practical limit is the temperature rise across 66 loaded pins — if every position is carrying current, you'll want to derate. The 30.0 µin gold or GXT™ plating on the mating surface gives it a solid mating-cycle life, well above what tin-plate headers offer, so it's a good choice for boards that get mated and unmated more than a few times in their service life. The unshrouded design means there's no plastic wall around the pins — the mating receptacle has to provide its own polarization or keying to prevent a mis-mate. The UL94 V-0 housing covers the flammability requirement for equipment that goes inside an enclosure.
