The Amphenol 93690-105-14LF is a 14-position, 2-row unshrouded breakaway header from the BERGSTIK® series, on the standard 0.100" (2.54 mm) pitch. It is a board-to-board or cable interconnect, terminated through-hole with a press-fit or solder tail.
Contact Plating — Gold GXT™ Mating Surface
The post side is tin with 39.4 µ" (1.00 µm) thickness, which is standard for solder termination. This split-plating approach keeps the mating interface corrosion-resistant while the tin post solders reliably to the board. For a header that may see field service or multiple disconnect cycles, the gold GXT™ finish is the right call; a tin-only header would wear faster under repeated mating.
Unshrouded Design — Board Access Trade-Off
The unshrouded profile exposes the full pin length for probing, manual wiring, or low-profile board stacking. The overall contact length is 0.608" (15.44 mm), with a mating length of 0.327" (8.30 mm) and a post length of 0.177" (4.50 mm). This geometry suits applications where the header sits near a board edge and the mating connector is hand-inserted.
