The 5 A figure is per-contact, so a fully loaded 44-position connector can carry 5 A on every pin simultaneously only if the total current stays within the temperature rise limits of the housing — in practice, derate when populating adjacent circuits at full load. The 110 V rating provides enough headroom for typical logic-level and low-voltage DC rails.
Through-hole, right-angle termination: the 0.120" (3.05 mm) solder post length is sized for standard PCB thicknesses around 0.062" (1.6 mm). The 0.190" (4.83 mm) insulation height gives clearance for routing traces under the body.
