Board-to-Board Header for Dense PCB Stacks
The Amphenol 93939-458HLF is a 58-position, dual-row, unshrouded male pin header from the BergStik® II series, designed for board-to-board interconnects. It uses a 0.100" (2.54 mm) square grid on both pitch and row spacing, which is a standard footprint for prototyping and production PCB layouts. The right-angle through-hole termination places the pin axis parallel to the board, suiting it for mezzanine or perpendicular card stacking where the connector sits at the board edge.
What the Key Ratings Mean for Your Build
Rated 5 A per contact with a 110 V voltage limit. The 5 A figure is per-pin at ambient; in a 58-position header, the total current through the connector is limited by the temperature rise of the housing and the PCB trace width, so a real-world derating applies when all pins are loaded. The 100.0 µin (2.54 µm) tin plating on the mating surface is thick enough for a few hundred mating cycles in a clean, indoor environment, but tin is susceptible to fretting corrosion under vibration — for high-vibration or frequent-mate applications, a gold-plated sibling from the BergStik II family would be the better call. The UL94 V-0 black housing meets the flammability requirement for equipment inside an enclosure.
Mating and Termination
This unshrouded header mates with any standard 0.100" pitch, dual-row, square-socket receptacle.
