The header is surface-mount only — no through-hole tails. The SMT pads must be designed to the 0.100" pitch and row spacing; the solder joints carry the mechanical retention. In high-vibration or high-mating-force applications, a secondary board lock or adhesive is recommended to prevent pad lift.
