BERGSTIK II Header, 28 Positions, Unshrouded
The Amphenol BERGSTIK® II 95687-128HLF is a 28-position, dual-row, unshrouded male pin header on the standard 0.100" (2.54 mm) pitch. It is a through-hole solder-mount board-to-board interconnect, with all 28 positions loaded. The square pins are phosphor bronze with a 30.0 µ" (0.76 µm) gold or Gold, GXT™ finish on the mating surface, rated for 5 A per circuit at 110 V. The black UL94 V-0 rated insulation stands 0.100" (2.54 mm) above the board surface.
What the Ratings Mean for Your Fit
The 0.100" pitch is the classic breadboard-compatible spacing — any board layout engineer can drop this into a 0.100" grid footprint without a custom pad pattern. The 30.0 µ" gold on the mating side is the spec that governs long-term reliability: it supports repeated mating cycles and resists corrosion in industrial environments far better than a tin-plated alternative. The 5 A per circuit rating is a solid signal-level current; at 110 V the header handles typical logic and low-power distribution, but it is not sized for a bus bar or main DC rail. The unshrouded design means there is no keying wall around the pins — the mating connector aligns directly to the pin tips, so the board layout must allow for the mating half's full body width.
