The male square pins are through-hole mounted and soldered, with a 0.360" (9.14mm) mating length and a 0.360" (9.14mm) post length for a total contact length of 0.820" (20.83mm).
The contacts are phosphor bronze with a 100.0 µin (2.54 µm) tin plating on the mating surface and a tin finish on the solder tails. The 5 A per-contact current rating is typical for a 0.100" pitch header at this density, but the tin plating limits the connector to a lower number of mating cycles than a gold-plated equivalent — this is a signal-level interconnect for internal board stacks, not a frequent field-service disconnect point.
